What is an audiovisual stimulator (AVS) ?

An AVS, or mind machine, is generally an electronic tool that uses flickering light and pulsating sound to stimulate the brain and induce an altered state of consciousness.

The Dreamer is a small but incredibly efficient AVS. It is composed of a pair of eye frames equipped with light-emitting diodes and small headphones connected to a hand-held control console. It emits flickering light and pulsating sound, which quickly takes you into a state of deep relaxation. An ideal tool for overcoming stress, anxiety and insomnia, the Dreamer is the miniature consumer version of "Mentalstim", which has been used by tens of thousands of people in hospitals and medical circles since 1987.
